  1. Of course, we understand “miracle” and “holy” in their symbolic senses. It may be that every root word known for “iron” points to the sky. Even though iron is more common than copper, it requires such high heat that meteoric iron was used millennia before the metal was extraced from ore. Huns and Mongols capturing a smithy would spare him as if he were a shaman. We call one kind of fine cloth “damask” because its patterns resemble damascus steel. Yet, the difference betwen steel and iron is a mere 1% to 3% of carbon. Precious metal coins were made to wider tolerances than required by steel.
